People
always want their life to get simpler and easier, so I tried to look into the
lives of various people from different countries, religions, beliefs or occupation.
Some who fell in love early, some who never got married, some from the countries
of highest satisfaction index like Switzerland or some from countries like
Afghanistan.
We as
humans aren’t designed to live a life of simplicity, our physical being isn’t
designed or evolved for that. We as apes had a strong drive and mental capability
(which kept on increasing) to make our work simpler, but it wasn’t because we
wanted a simple life instead it was there, to enable us to do more and more
things in one life we got. It is said that “there is no end to a man’s greed”,
and it’s true. If you look at the bigger picture of things and life you will
get to know everyone is greedy in some way, and it’s is good for the development
and survival of humanity. For instance, if you take a man in front of a starving
tiger, that man will certainly try his best to survive, because he wants to
live. There is a negative side of greed, and we all know very well about that
but it only comes when the person imagines that there is a constraint on the
supplies he needs for his survival. That survival instinct is what drives their
negative greed.
Coming back
to my original point, it simply seems that nobody’s life ever gets simpler. It
simply keeps getting more complex and it’s just our perception that it is getting
easier or will get simpler. It's our brain which adapts to things just like when
you first learn to drive it seems such a complex process but as the time passes,
it becomes intuitive and you also start talking or doing other kinds of stuff (which you
shouldn’t)while driving.
So, whenever
someone says “I want my life to get simple” he is just wishing to do more
things at a time.
